The 2008 Norman F. Jacobs, Jr., Scholarship

The Richmond CSI Scholarship Fund Foundation is a non-profit foundation based in Richmond, Virginia, which sponsors annual scholarships for full-time students majoring in architecture, a construction-related field of engineering, or building construction, in an accredited Virginia college or university program. The Foundation is allied with the Construction Specifications Institute, a nationwide organization of over 18,000 construction professionals, based in Alexandria, Virginia. The Institute, through its diverse membership of architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, attorneys and others working in the construction industry, strives to advance the understanding of construction technology.

Each year, we are pleased to offer up to two scholarships with an aggregate value of up to $2,500.00 through the Norman F. Jacobs, Jr., Scholarship Fund. In the past, we have awarded scholarships to students at Norfolk State, VMI, Virginia Tech and VCU. To be eligible, a student must meet the following minimum requirements:

  1. Be enrolled full time in an accredited construction-related program in a Virginia college or university, majoring in the study of either architecture, building construction, or a building construction-related field of engineering.
  2. Must have completed two full years of a four-year bachelor’s degree program, or three full years of a five-year bachelor’s degree program, or be enrolled full time in a master’s degree program.
  3. Must have a cumulative credit average of at least 2.5 on a 4.0-point scale.
